Description
Defined by asymmetric massing and clean, sweeping curves, this desk captures the machine-age optimism of the Streamline Moderne movement. The design centers on a multi-tiered silhouette: the broad writing surface sweeps outward into a curved, open-shelf gallery, while the right pedestal steps down deliberately to create an offset, two-level profile.
Crafted from solid old-growth teak, the continuous top showcases an expressive, wavy grain with warm amber depth. The desk balances open display with discreet utility—pairing the outer radius shelves with an integrated side-access cupboard on the left, a recessed front cupboard on the right, and twin shallow center drawers framed by bullnose edging.
Hand-carved cylindrical teak pulls and stacked, stepped plinth feet ground the Streamline Moderne Art Deco Desk with subtle architectural detail. Fully finished on all four sides, it is designed to anchor the workspace with character and provenance.
