Returns

We make an effort to ensure that our products are inspected prior to delivery, and thus items received in good condition are non-refundable. If an item is delivered to you in an unsatisfactory condition, please call our showroom at 6473-1693 before signing the delivery order.

If you find an issue with the product after delivery, contact us at info@journeyeast.com within 7 days with the following information:

  • Original receipt
  • Name of defective item
  • Your name
  • Address
  • Telephone number

Exchanges

It is important that your Journey East purchases fit your home, and if for any reason you feel you wish to make a change, contact us at info@journeyeast.com within 7 days with the following information:

  • Original receipt
  • Name of item (must be in original condition)
  • Your name
  • Address
  • Telephone number

Please note that, unless you provide your own transport, exchanges are subject to delivery charges. Once you get in touch, our team will advise on the process accordingly.

Purchases should be exchanged for another item of equal or greater value (top-up required). If you choose an item of lesser value, we will be unable to refund the difference.

Warranty

We source the globe and choose only reputable brands and manufacturers to work with, and offer limited local warranty on structural integrity and functionality in the following durations:

For commercial use:
1 year on solid wood/metal furniture items
6 months on upholstered components

For residential use:
2 years on solid wood/metal furniture items
1 year on upholstered components

Tala bulbs, fixtures, and The Muse lamp:
2 years warranty on materials and workmanship, provided

  • It can be proved no modification has been made to the product
  • It can be proved that the fault was not as a result to normal wear and tear or accidental damage.
  • The Product was installed by a professional qualified electrician.
  • The Product has been used in accordance with the given Product and application specifications (data sheets) and has been installed and put into service in a professional manner (according to the installation instructions enclosed with the Product).
  • If it can be proven that the products have been installed with a compatible control system where applicable.
  • The defect, once it has been duly specified and its nature and scale have been duly shown by the Customer, is reported within seven (7) days from its discovery, which must include supportive photographic evidence

For all other items:
6 months warranty on structural integrity and functionality

Exceptions

We are unable to provide returns or exchanges on upholstered accessories and soft furnishings (e.g. cushions, fabric accessories). Warranty will also not apply to items that have been misused or damaged as a result of negligence. Items sold under promotional conditions are not eligible.
