Description
Grounded in strong geometric form, this Midcentury Modern Sideboard uses clean angles and surface relief to bring graphic energy to a classic mid-century profile. Handcrafted entirely in solid Indonesian teak, it translates the modernist ethos of minimalist functionalism through deliberate lines, planes, and shadows.
The visual narrative centers on geometric interplay across two distinct bays. On the left, the double-door cabinet is hand-carved with a repeating diamond lattice that cuts diagonally across the timber's natural grain. Above it, a shallow open shelf creates a horizontal recess for media units, books, or tabletop objects.
The right bay balances this with four stacked drawers featuring sharply slanted, shutter-style faces. Canted forward to catch light at an angle, each drawer creates deep, overlapping shadow lines down the frontage, punctuated by turned teak button pulls.
Reinforcing this angular focus, the case rests on tapered, splayed timber legs that pitch outward at the corners to lift the cabinet off the floor with visual airiness.
Equally suited as a media console, living room accent, or dining server, it pairs rhythmic geometry with the lasting weight of solid old-growth wood.
