Dating from the 1950s to 1960s, this vintage piece channels the textured, geometric cabinet designs of Midcentury European masters—drawing visual parallels to the gridded facades of Robert Guillerme & Jacques Chambron in France, and the parquetry paneling of Børge Mogensen. Rather than relying on thin applied veneers, Asian artisans interpreted this modernist aesthetic directly into solid pieces of hand-carved solid aged teak.
The natural beauty is detailed across every panel, showcasing rich teak grain on the top, sides, and front. This geometrical shape of the sideboard is framed by ebonised, forward-canted side panels that taper slightly as they rise, providing a dynamic slant that mirrors its tapered slim legs.
