Description
Defined by minimalist proportions, this compact console brings authentic 1960s audio heritage into contemporary interiors. The entire casework—the top deck, side flanks, and sliding panel—is constructed from broad, single-plank cuts of solid Indonesian teak, showing off the tight growth rings and sweeping cathedral grain of old-growth timber.
Set along the rear deck is a flush-mounted timber hatch on a continuous brass piano hinge. In 1960s custom hi-fi cabinetry, this top access was engineered to vent heat from tube amplifiers and route cabling neatly out the back without pulling the heavy cabinet away from the wall. Today, the recessed well serves as a hidden drop-zone for power strips and chargers—or a concealed well to keep three or four favorite spirit bottles upright and within quick reach.
Below, the solid single-plank sliding door, fitted with an inset brass flush pull, glides smoothly alongside a smoked-glass panel. Inside the glazed bay, a floating glass shelf provides an airy, two-tier display for glassware, cocktail tools, or ceramics.
Rare in both its compact footprint and its dedicated audio roots, it stands as an honest slice of 1960s craftsmanship—equally suited as a low media credenza, drinks station, or living room anchor.
