This Library Table With Trestle Legs is a refined example of Dutch Colonial Neo-Renaissance design, handcrafted by Javanese carpenters during the early 20th century. The structure is defined by a pair of fluted double-spindle supports on each side, which anchor the tiered rectangular top. These vertical elements rest upon a trestle base characterized by a fluid, whiplash curve—a subtle nod to the emerging Art Nouveau influences of the era. A distinctive Javanese motif appears in the form of a hand-carved floral rosette (kembang) centered on the trestle feet, grounding the European silhouette in regional artisanal tradition. The piece is unified by a lathe-turned horizontal stretcher featuring a central bulbous detail, providing both structural stability and a rhythmic break in the lower volume.

At a height of 67cm, the Library Table With Trestle Legs occupies a versatile "transitional" scale; it is lower than a standard dining surface but taller than a coffee table.
