A high-rise menagerie for the literary-minded. The Gangzai Anibook Rectangular Tray turns a precarious column of antique, gilt-tooled tomes into prime real estate for lounging wildlife. Lions, a tiger, parrots, and a resting finch colonise the leather spines with complete nonchalance, crowned by an open volume at the summit. Set against a serene sky-blue ground, the rich patinas of aged bookcloth and warm animal pelts create a vivid graphic contrast with the smooth lacquer finish. Elongated and framed by a slim raised rim, it brings a clever, scholarly absurdity to a library desk, coffee table, or entryway console.
