Description
Two distinct design languages meet in this early 20th-century Art Nouveau vanity: an organic, sculpted upper tier balanced against an honest, utilitarian base. Rising from the tabletop, the solid teak backboard is carved with soft botanical curves that taper upward to frame an oval cheval mirror. Encased in a rounded wooden frame, the mirror tilts on its original brass thumbscrews, allowing the user to adjust viewing angles.
Beneath the curved crest, the piece is supported by functional regional joinery. The teak top sits above a flush central drawer, while four square-profile legs are braced by low perimeter stretchers on three sides to ensure rigid stability with ample clearance to tuck in a dressing stool.
Handcrafted throughout from solid old-growth teak, the wood carries a warm, authentic patina across every surface. Scaled with narrow, upright proportions, this vintage Art Nouveau dressing table delivers dedicated function and personality while asking for very little floor space.
