This Art Nouveau Cabinet with Marble Top is a rare find from the Dutch Colonial era, dating back to the early 1900s to 1920s. It makes a grandiose statement in any living room, combining functionality with stunning artistry.
The cabinet features original dark green patterned glass, elegantly displayed in two spherical cutouts on each side, as well as on a breakfront portion at the center, behind an arched latticed frame. This distinctive glass features an intricate botanical acanthus leaf motifs, a nod to the neo-Renaissance influences of the era.
A linear corniced moulded top enhances the cabinet's elegance, while intricate fluted carvings throughout the piece further evoke classicality in a striking ziggurat pattern. Distinct capital 'H's are carved into each side, a sign-off to the unique gravitas and presence.
Meticulously restored, this cabinet boasts a marble top that serves as an ideal drinks counter or display surface.
