Description
This original Drop Leaf Radio Cabinet from the 1930s–1940s, has been cleverly converted from a vintage radio cabinet into a highly functional statement piece. Handcrafted by master artisans, the design is defined by its bold, sweeping curves, directly reflecting the Streamline Moderne influence that characterized the late Art Deco era.
The piece is handcrafted from beautifully aged teak wood, showcasing a rich, stunning wood grain and patina. It is filled with authentic vintage detail, including the original lock and key for the upper compartment, and is set on original castor wheels, allowing for easy repositioning.
The cabinet’s genius lies in its convertible utility. Upon opening the drop leaf door, a secondary retractable shelf automatically extends out, creating a perfect surface. This feature instantly converts the piece into a stylish bar station, with the extending leaf acting as a mixing counter.
Below, two swing doors with hand-carved handles open to reveal practical storage, ideal for smaller bottles and glasses. Its compact size makes this multifunctional unit an excellent, luxurious addition for condominiums and urban living.
