On 21st Feb 2025, one of Singapore's best Jazz-Funk bands JUNK brought a special evening to Journey East, along with delicious pours from Wildcard.
About JUNK:Classical-contemporary pianist Amery Reuben brings together a group of multi-instrumentalists, showcasing a wide variety of textures rooted in Funk, Latin, New Orleans second line, progressive rock, J-Rock, as well as original compositions. There will be rearranged covers by modern artists such as Snarky Puppy, The Funky Knuckles, Chick Corea and Pat Metheny.
About WILDCARD:
Drinks by Wildcard - a coffee and wine bar nestled between the Tiong Bahru and Robertson Quay neighborhoods. Denise Lum brought Wildcard's signature beverages to Journey East as a third space for connection and community, and fueled our audience and musicians with the only right kind of hydration.
Together, we created an evening of discovery, great music, great company, rocking out to the fun and punchy side of Jazz.
