Booktique Where Writers Shop

Booktique Where Writers Shop started in 2013 with only a luggage of books, popping up at cafes and festivals. A year later, it set up two pop-up shops at The Cathay and CityLink Mall. The latter became its permanent location until its closure in June 2017. Now, Booktique sells books at events, to school libraries, and online via their catalogues. In 2020, Booktique launched a lifestyle brand called Chio Books. This year marks the 10th anniversary of their bookselling journey.

Is it free entry?
Yes! No registration required.
Is there an MRT to the venue?
Tan Boon Liat building is located right beside Havelock MRT station (go to Exit 1, which will lead you to the back gate of the building).
Head up to the 3rd floor, and we're the orange-coloured shop on the left-side of the lifts.
What if I am driving?
Enter via Outram Road, after the Havelock/Kim Seng Road intersection.
Keep to the right lane after Holiday Inn Atrium hotel - the entrance to Tan Boon Liat buidling is right before the Shell petrol station.
There is plenty of parking available.
Are pets allowed at the event?
Our apologies, as much as we would love to say hello to your furkids, the Building Management has disallowed pets into Tan Boon Liat building.
What payment methods can I use?
Most of the event vendors prefer cashless payment options, such as Paynow. Each vendor will differ - please do check with them separately.
